How many bricks do I need per square metre?

For a single leaf (half brick) wall, you need approximately 60 bricks per square metre. For a double leaf (one brick thick) wall, you need 120 bricks per square metre. Always add 5-10% for wastage and cuts.

How many blocks do I need per square metre?

Standard concrete blocks (440x215mm) require approximately 10 blocks per square metre. This applies to both aerated and dense blocks. Add 5% for wastage and cuts.

What is the mortar mix ratio for bricklaying?
